                          Saturday afternoon..

Sitting in Starbucks cafe and sipping my tall medium blend coffee( another way to say" regular coffee"- sound good , right? hihiihi..), this thought come across my mind…

My younger( and the only one) brother got engaged yesterday. Yes,he is younger than me-in fact he turned 24 last April- and yet, he found his beautiful mate when they were in highschool ( No, I’m not trying to be jealous here,  ). Another highschool sweetheart love story,huh? hehhehe..

I do happy for this couple as they had their moment yesterday, and I rejoiced quietly listening to my mom called home and talk to my big family. I had my mom’s side family came purposely from madura on behalf my mom’s presence( coz she can’t go back to Indonesia yet) and also my dad’s family that mostly live in jember, my hometown.

Everything turned out well, I guess…

I received " sms" this morning from my mom’s cell forwarding my brother’s detail message for her.
He said that he was  nervous when he talked to the girl’s parents asking permission to hand over her as his fiancee( and bride wanna be-) in formal way as a man.
waw..I’m so proud of you, bro.. 

I’m still remembering our childhood together, when he was a little skinny boy and I always took advantage of him, u know, the oldest rules, nobody can beat your older sista up, hahahhahaha..
we fought a lot. Looking back, now I imagine that he grows up to be a mature person that I missed all these years I’m living in states.

and he still looking for a job.

I told himto try putting his resume online which kinda help advertise himself to be noticeable to employers who search for prospective workers. He said he will try it.
I know it’s not easy to find a job in Indonesia with our economic and politic issues that hold this country in long term crisis. No wonder alot of Indonesian thinking to start and move another prosperous countries such as US, AU and Europe. Tell u the truth, life gonna be the same, wherever you wish to stay on, we have to work very hard ( except that you a millionaire like Trumph or Gates, or you win powerball lottery, LOL- )and put " never give up mentality" for gain success. All have their own consequences.

honestly, so many times that I just wanna give up my life here in states and going back to Indonesia.( psstt…Did I say about american dream?  )…thinking, ahh…what would my life be if I  back to Indonesia? probably I don’t have to work this hard,  it’s gonna be  9-4 job that I can chat and hang out with my friends after work, enjoy " warung tenda" and eating pecel lele and tempe goreng with lalapan? what if…what if…
and then, talking to my bro and friends in Indonesia who desperate getting better job changes my narrow perspective. I’m lucky can live here. I can go school and work legally here. How ungrateful I am! The reality is not always what you already seen in front of your eyes, u have to fight to keep survive, whatever it is.

Scriptures in bible say that we just live one day at a time, do not be weary about what u have, u eat or to wear on,coz everyday has its own trouble. Jesus said, come to Me all you that heavy burdens and I’ll give u rest.
just put your life in Him and He will take care of you! :)

I really have good times this weekend… so many things that I really enjoyed and had fun…just like simple things, walked out to the park , spent time enjoying nature in our famous fountain LOVE symbol of Philadelphia( thanks for forcing me out that day, Fandy, eventhough it was so extremely hot and humid ..)and we went to another fountain which is beautifuly made with lightning art and sculptures about man’s figure and some water animals and remains me like renaissant art in Europe..
it got cooler a bit when the sunset appeared in our city’s sky and it replace with night lights of tall buildings standing in heart of center city.
as for me, it’s not about how much money that I can spent to enjoy and do some costly things-eventhough sometimes luxury activities like dining out in nice resto or shopping till I drop can be really fun also- but being a part of life and whatever around you say it simple things like listening to bird chirping,feel the breeze of the wind blows and sitting quietly in my doorsteps sipping a cup coffee and see the flower blooming make me calm and happy. I love in my free time hang out( by myself) in nearby coffeshop( which is starbucks that 5 bloks away-)and watching people pass by in cafe’s huge window..fandy said that I’m psycho for being people watcher…huhehehhehe,dude..I’m still normal!
yesterday, this very sweet buddy treated me fine dine in cuban resto, one of wellknown restaurants own by Stephen Starr,the king of elite dining resto in Philadelphia and NewYork.
We ate in Alma de Cuba( the soul of Cuba-) and the food so delicious accompanied with cuban latin rithym that made my feet itchy to swing and salsa ( I’m sure that some of you know me very well in "dance" as my weaknesses..LOL..nobody can’t stop me..huhahahahhah).

Special thanks buat fandy yg udah murah hati traktir makan kemaren..boleh digilir ke Stephen Starr’s resto lain2nya…hehehhehehe…still 5 or 6 more resto to go, bro!!! hahahahhaha…

omigosh, today is so unbelievable hot in Philadelphia!
It can reach 105 degrees- it’s what people keep telling me- and the humidity so cruel…imagine that people that have to work outside or on the street…I think this is what real summer you expect for…hahahahah..

yeah,it’s my first blog.
Thanks to my friends( khat-yui-david, guys, you’re my inspiration…:P).
I love to read others blogs, u know kinda scan what people do and up to…but not quite sure about making one mine…until I decided today!
I got my new internet installation about an hour ago( fyi, I just moved to new place and everything still fall apart, including my ritual checking emails..). Thanks God finally in this very melting day I got my internet done( eventhough it wasn’t very smoothly for the first connection and I’d call the customer service again..). but it works.
